1. Introduction

"It's so good to see you!" smiled the dark-skinned woman. "It's been far too long."

"I agree," said the blond medic. Then he turned and rested his gaze pointedly on Anthony, who was fidgeting and watching awkwardly. "Is that the boy from your dream?" asked Grey. Malinga nodded, and the medic took a few steps over to the boy.

"Hmm… he looks healthy, but maybe a little thin… Has Lin been feeding you?" the older man asked teasingly, tilting his head and looking at Anthony like a fascinated scientist. It made Anthony feel very uncomfortable.

"Um, y-yeah," the brunette boy muttered, averting his chocolate-colored eyes.

"I'm just kidding around," laughed Grey softly. "My name is Grey Sommerton. I'm a healer, and I'm bound to the Spirit of Knowledge. You must be Anthony Harper. It's nice to meet you."

Ha. So, anyone remember that 100 Themes Challenge I said I was gonna start like a million years ago? Eh, me neither.

Anyway, now that I'm a college student, I figured I'd actually give the challenge the ol' college try (ha.) and so here we are! After an hour of wrestling with my printer/scanner only to discover that I'm missing a necessary wire that my roommate does have and was kind enough to let me borrow.

Aaaaanyway. This is a scene from my story, Artifact. It's unlikely that you'll see any more direct excerpts from it, seeing as this is the internet. But yeah; here we have Grey (on the left) being introduced to Anthony (on the right) by Malinga, the lovely lady in the middle. Thus theme number 1, introduction.

Also, ignore the shitty perspective. I assure you, Grey doesn't actually live in a house made for a leprechaun. I just have no talent
